Funding

Funding here is the same as any other small charity, a constant issue.  One of the real problems here is that the therapy we offer to the children is limited by the facilities we have.  At present we are desperately trying to improve those facilities so that we can decrease the waiting lists.  This is going to be a major challenge for all involved.  We intend to add a new school and stables so we can have new horses and properly house those we already have plus add a foaling section for we believe there is an addition to be made to the applied therapy by moving in this direction.  All of this will, of course, take an awful lot of funding and we are currently involved in finding sponsors so if you or your company could help then Kerie would be pleased to hear from you.  You could make a donation by using these links to either our Gift Aid form or our regular  Donation Form, printing it and posting it now.

The major fund raiser we have at the moment is the riding school where lessons paid for support less fortunate attendees at the Centre.  We also involve ourselves in a number of other fund raising activities.  One can regularly find volunteers from the charity on the streets of local towns with their collection boxes or at local fetes doing pony rides.  We also hold sponsored rides, dinner dances, run a tuck shop (healthy of course), and have an annual show and open day.

The most recent and helpful is the Adopt-a-Pony scheme.  In this members of the public adopt a pony for one year which helps incredibly with their upkeep, as everybody knows horses cost a lot to keep.  Please feel free to adopt one.  Just give Kerie a call or e-mail her and she will be pleased to help.
